A 21-year-old man has suffered life-threatening injuries when a car crashed into a wall in Sheffield.
Police said a red Vauxhall Astra crashed on Manchester Road at about 11:25 GMT on Thursday.
The driver was taken to hospital, where he remained in critical condition, a force spokesperson added.
A section of Manchester Road, near the junction with More Hall Lane, was closed in both directions as officers carried out further inquiries.
It has since reopened to road users.
South Yorkshire Police appealed for witnesses who might have seen the Astra before or after the crash.
Police were also keen to speak to anyone with relevant dashcam or CCTV footage.
