The names of 112 servicemen and women, killed on duty or through terrorism in 2010, are being added to a national memorial.

Engravers are beginning the month-long task at the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire.

A spokesman for the memorial near Alrewas, said the 112 deaths represented one of the largest tolls in the past 20 years.

The names of those killed will be dedicated in a special service later.
