Saxmundham high street closed after truck and bus crash

During the collision, a drop-side truck veered into the store front of Vela Art Gallery

Police have closed a town high street following a collision between a bus and drop-side truck in Suffolk.

At approximately 10:30 GMT on High Street, Saxmundham, the vehicles collided and the drop-side truck veered into the Vela Art Gallery and Cafe shop front.

Police confirmed there were no injuries, but the road would "remain closed for the next few hours".

Motorists were advised to find an alternate route into the town.

A structural engineer from East Suffolk Council was in attendance.
