Residents can find out more about the Olympic 2012 road race taking place in Surrey at a series of drop-in sessions.
The race route takes cyclists from The Mall, through west London and then out to Surrey and back.
The world's top riders will compete in the road race during the opening weekend of the Games
Mole Valley District Council, along with Surrey County Council and the Olympic organising committee Locog, have arranged the sessions.
Councillor James Friend, the leader of the district council, said he wanted businesses and residents to "prepare effectively".
"Hosting an Olympic event will bring many benefits to our district," he said.
The first drop-in session is being held at Mickleham Village Hall in Dorking from 1500 to 2000 BST.
Woking is also hosting the penultimate leg of the Tour Series cycling event on 14 June.
The Tour Series is a calendar of professional cycle races, launched in 2009, held on town and city centre circuits across the UK.
