More than 500 people have signed a petition demanding CCTV for an area in East Sussex where a man was murdered.

Chris Poole, 46, was attacked outside a shop in the Hydneye area of Eastbourne shortly before 21:00 BST on 16 August.

The petition, which will be handed in to the Town Hall later, asks the county council and borough council to make the area around the shop a safer place.

Shane Noble, 19, of no fixed address, and a 15-year-old boy have been charged with murder.

They are next due to appear at Lewes Crown Court on 30 October.

Mr Poole died in hospital from head injuries the day after the attack.
