Hove Fitness Club is due to reopen at new premises in March after the discovery of dangerous concrete

A gym which closed due to the discovery of unstable concrete is set to reopen at a new premises in spring.

Hove Fitness Club was forced to leave its Nevill Road site in October after reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete (Raac) was found.

The new gym in St Heliers Avenue, Hove, will have tennis courts, spin room and a dance studio.

Co-owner Matt Lambert said the new property, which opens on 1 March, offered his business "a lifeline".

Mr Lambert said his team were "devastated" when the old gym was forced to close four months ago.

The business had 2,000 members when the closure happened.

The new gym already has 750 members lined up.

Mr Lambert said: "We are very, very happy."
