Four candidates have been announced for this month's parliamentary by-election in Middlesbrough.

The Conservatives have selected Ben Houchen, while John Malcolm will stand for the Trade Union and Socialist Coalition, it was confirmed earlier.

Andy McDonald was chosen by Labour, and George Selmer is the Liberal Democrat candidate.

The 29 November election follows the death of Sir Stuart Bell.

Sir Stuart had been the town's Labour MP since 1983 and died following a short illness.
