Rugby World Cup excitement building on Tyneside

Excitement is building in the North East as the South African and Scotland rugby players prepare for Saturday's World Cup clash at St James' Park.

The Scotland team received a rousing reception at their base - Newcastle's Royal Grammar School - where the children lined up to welcome them.

At the same time, ground staff at St James' Park were continuing with the major operation to transform the famous home of Newcastle United into a venue for a World Cup rugby match.

The Royal Grammar School's headmaster, Bernard Trafford, and Newcastle groundsman, Andrew Tulley, spoke about the preparations.
