No Wiltshire Council compulsory management redundancies

No managers at Wiltshire Council are facing compulsory redundancy.

The Conservative-controlled administration had been looking to shed 240 management posts and Friday was the deadline for volunteers.

A Wiltshire Council spokesman said enough people had come forward to avoid compulsory job losses.

The council needs to make savings of £70m in the next financial year, and £122m over the next four years, after government cuts to its budget.
