Wiltshire Council installs solar panels on three sites

  • Published

New solar panels on three council-owned buildings in Wiltshire will save £7,000 a year, the council has said.

The authority has spent £115,000 on installing panels at County Hall in Trowbridge; Monkton Park in Chippenham; and Bradbury Manor in Devizes.

It expects its annual energy bills to be reduced by £7,343 and the sites to generate £11,000 a year by selling energy back to the national grid.

The council believes the panels will have paid for themselves in six years.
