Wiltshire: Man held on suspicion of child abduction bailed

Locals gathered to search for the missing teenager on Sunday

A man arrested on suspicion of child abduction after a teenager went missing has been released on conditional bail.

A 14-year-old girl who was last seen on Sherston High Street, near Malmesbury, getting into a car was found at a property near Wiltshire on Sunday.

An appeal was made by the girl's mother for her daughter to get in touch and dozens of locals also searched for her.

The arrested man, aged in his 20s and from Hertfordshire, was released from police custody on Tuesday.
