A1 closes overnight for new bridge

Drivers are being advised to add extra time to their journey
A major road in North Yorkshire will be closed overnight and for most of Sunday morning as a new bridge is installed.
The section of the A1 is being upgraded to motorway standard between Leeming and Barton.
The northbound carriageway will be closed between junction 50 (Baldersby) and Scotch Corner. Southbound will be closed between Scotch Corner and junction 51 (Leeming).
The closure will be from 20:00 until 11:00 BST.
