Registered voters were able to cast their ballots from 07:00-22:00 BST on Thursday
Polling stations have closed across York for the local elections.
Registered voters were able to cast their ballots between 07:00 to 22:00 BST on Thursday.
All 47 City of York Council seats are being contested and counting will begin on Friday with results expected later the same day.
People in England were required to show photo identification before being allowed to vote at the 2023 local elections.
