A man who died from a cardiac arrest after being detained by security staff at a holiday park repeatedly said he could not breathe, an inquest heard.
Ryan Vincent, 22, from Skelton, died at Primrose Valley, Filey, on 22 May 2017.
At Northallerton Coroner's Court, witnesses also described hearing him ask to be turned over while being held face down by security staff.
The inquest heard he lost consciousness and stopped breathing and, despite receiving CPR, died later in hospital.
Mr Vincent had travelled to the holiday park with his partner, Chloe Edwards, and their two children.
Ms Edwards told the hearing said she had walked back to their caravan after a night out, with Mr Vincent saying he would drive back.
However, she said when she reached the caravan she realised she did not have the key and had tried calling her partner.
She said she tried ringing several times before the call connected but, when it did, all she could hear was Mr Vincent saying 'I can't breathe'.
Other guests at the park described seeing a security guard holding Mr Vincent face down on the ground with their arms across his back and a second guard assisting for about 20 minutes.
They claimed Mr Vincent repeatedly said he could not breathe and asked if he could be turned around.
The inquest has not yet heard evidence about why Mr Vincent was restrained by the guards.
Pathologist Dr Jennifer Bolton, who carried out the post-mortem examination, said she found no evidence of disease, illness or anything in the toxicology reports which could have caused Mr Vincent's heart to stop.
The hearing continues.
