Diesel has been stolen by thieves from three lorries parked overnight in a layby in North Yorkshire.

Police said the thefts took place on the eastbound carriageway of the A64 next to York Racecourse between 21:00 GMT on Sunday and 05:45 on Monday.

North Yorkshire Police said the stolen diesel was worth more than £1,000.

Officers said they would like to speak to any witnesses, or anyone with any dashcam footage that was recorded in the area between those times.
