McCausland speech opens DUP conference

The DUP conference has begun with a speech from the Social Development Minister Nelson McCausland.

The conference in County Down will this afternoon feature discussions on health and local government reform.

The Health Minister Edwin Poots is also due to speak later, as is the Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster and the deputy leader Nigel Dodds.

The highlight of the two-day conference is expected to be an address from the party leader Peter Robinson tomorrow.
