David Cameron pledge for 'national crisis' of dementia

Funding for research into dementia is to be more than doubled to £66m by 2015 to try to make the UK a world leader in the field.

In the next decade, the number of people with the disease is expected to hit one million.

Prime Minister David Cameron has promised the money to tackle what he says is the ''national crisis'' posed by the condition.
