Natalie Bennett elected as Green Party leader

The new leader of the Green Party said it offered a "different kind of economy" and backed the policy of restricting top salaries to ten times that of an organisation's lowest wage.

Natalie Bennett told Andrew Neil that £200,000 was "more than enough to live on", and she set out her plan to treble the number of Green MEPs.

The Australian-born journalist beat three other candidates to the position in a poll of party members and will address its conference later this week.
