Welfare benefits and tax credit increase policies

The debate around welfare spending has seen government plans for a 1% rise in benefits opposed by Labour, which said it would hit those both in work and the unemployed.

Adam Fleming took a tour of a Dickens theme park to see what the future holds for the welfare budget which amounts to £200bn each year, more than health, education and defence combined.
