Inflation basket: Peter Stringfellow tested on shopping costs
The Office for National Statistics has updated the basket of goods used to measure inflation so the contents accurately reflect current trends in spending.
Nightclub owner and new father Peter Stringfellow was tested to see if he knew what the man-in-the-street buys and whether the right goods are going into the basket to measure price rises.
He looked back to the 1950s and took the inflation basket challenge with historian and crossbench peer Lord Hennessy and the Daily Politics' Jo Coburn.
