Blears on unpaid internships to help young find work

Unpaid internships are seen as an invaluable introduction to a dream job by some, but for others they are a modern form of slave labour.

The roles see young people work for free to get into a trade, but former Labour minister Hazel Blears said their place in the fashion, media and journalism fields was a "modern day scandal" as she called for them to be banned.
