Boris Johnson's call to cut 'yellow Lib Dem albatross'
The Mayor of London Boris Johnson called on the Conservatives to cut "that yellow Lib Dem albatross from around our necks" and work for an outright Conservative victory in 2015.
He told his party conference that voters could choose between the "fool's gold of Labour gimmicks" and a government that is "willing to take tough and sensible decisions".
Describing himself as the "mayor of the greatest city on earth", he them that London was the capital of Britain, the EU and "in many ways of the world".
