Kent Police and Crime Commissioner Ann Barnes' record

People need to be able to trust crime figures, said Kent's Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC), who instigated an independent review into crime recording.

Ann Barnes was asked by Andrew Neil what she had achieved 12 months on from elections which saw PCC elections across England and Wales, outside London, to replace police authorities.

But she said crime was rising in her county, which had seen a 20% cut in officers, and the chief constable had said it was "creaking".
