Atos: Anne Begg on government disability tests contract
The firm wanting to get out of its government contract for disability payment tests has become the 'lightning rod for hatred and upset", said the chair of the Work and Pensions Select Committee.
Anne Begg said there was a "real problem" with the £500m contract with Atos, as it did not suffer penalties for failing to deliver,
The Labour MP said she understood why the company "feared for its reputation" as she was asked about her party initially giving the firm a contract, which was renewed under the coalition.
