Liberal Democrats are meeting for their spring conference with minds focussed on May's local and European elections, and party president Tim Farron has warned the party could be wiped out.
With ministers in government, they no longer attract the protest vote and they have been pushed into fourth place in some elections, with UKIP on the rise.
