Ed Davey on power, investment and mothballed plants

The UK had to "massively increase the rate of investment" in its energy supplies and this had been achieved, said Ed Davey.

The energy and climate change secretary spoke to Andrew Neil about an auction to bring back moth-balled plants, and the "healthiest pipeline investment in our history".

And he said there were "huge amounts of companies wanting to invest" in Britain, as the Sunday Politics interview looked at the cost and future of British energy supplies and capacity in the market.
