UKIP's leader, Nigel Farage has fought off accusations of racism following comments made in a radio interview about Romanians. This comes after junior party members made the headlines over comments on social media.
UKIP claim the longer-established parties have not faced similar scrutiny over the behaviour of their candidates and councillors.
