Celebrities trivialise politics says journalist Tanya Gold
Tony Blair, David Cameron and Margaret Thatcher are among the prime minsters who have enjoyed hosting and being photographed with celebrities of the day.
But journalist Tanya Gold thinks politicians should learn the lessons of Jimmy Savile at Chequers and Cool Britannia in Downing Street.
She said they should think again about mixing with celebrities who are pushing their own message, and perhaps reach out to other industries.
She will be a guest on Wednesday' Daily Politics around 12:40 BST on BBC Two, where she will debate the film with Labour MP Emily Thornberry and Conservative Liz Truss.
