Lib Dem conference: Clegg on Farage and Europe debates
Nick Clegg claimed there was "something very un-British taking root" in UK politics as he named Alex Salmond and Nigel Farage among those wanting "to pull us apart".
He listed groups that were taking the blame including Europe, Brussels, foreigners, immigrants, the English and onshore wind farms, and recalled his TV debates on Europe with the UKIP leader.
The deputy prime minister told delegates in Glasgow that someone had to stand up for the "liberal Britain in which we and millions of decent, reasonable people believe".
