Matt Hancock: Legacy of under investment in UK power

The government has been tackling a "legacy of under investment" in UK power supplies, says the energy minister.

Matt Hancock explained there would be improvements in two years when "new investment will come on stream" with £45bn invested since the 2010 general election.

He spoke to Jo Coburn on the Daily Politics as the National Grid warned its capacity to supply electricity this winter will be at a seven-year low due to generator closures and breakdowns.
