PMQs: Cameron and Harman on action over Calais migrants
The Labour leader said efforts need to be stepped up over the migrants in Calais causing "harassment and intimidation" to lorry drivers heading to the UK.
David Cameron said the scenes in Calais were "totally unacceptable" and called for better documentation checks in Italy, rather than waiting till the migrants got to France.
The prime minister said the UK had to work with "European partners to stop this problem at source", and the UK had to be a "less easy place" for illegal migrants to work.
And he spoke of more staff, sniffer dogs and fencing at Calais, as well as tougher UK immigration controls.
