Employment minister Mims Davies on rising jobless figures
A rise in the UK jobless rate to 4.9% for the three months to October is “concerning” says Employment Minister Mims Davies.
But she said there were some “bright spots” with increased vacancies and people working longer hours.
The minister said the government and Department of Work and Pensions were “doing everything we can to reassure people”.
