Gordon Brown says UK politics needs a 'clean up and clear out'

Former Prime Minister Gordon Brown has said the 830-member House of Lords is "indefensible" and needs replacing with a smaller democratic chamber.

Alongside current Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer, he set out plans to reform Parliament and move more civil servants out of London.
