Lib Dems 'proud' but 'disappointed' at election results
Daisy Cooper said her party focussed its resources on the Mid Bedfordshire seat and won support of thousands of ex-Tory voters.
The Lib Dem deputy leader said the party had almost doubled its share of the vote in Nadine Dorries' former seat, where it came third.
The party finished joint sixth in Tamworth and lost its deposit.
