Scots woman in The Gambia: 'Hotel staff have left for Senegal'
A Scottish woman on holiday in The Gambia has told how tourists and staff are deserting the hotel.
Arlene Robinson, from Glasgow, flew to the country on Tuesday and had expected to stay until the 24 January.
Emergency flights have been bringing British holidaymakers back to the UK following new travel advice.
Speaking to BBC Good Morning Scotland from her hotel, she said she was anxious about the situation.
"Most of the staff have left as well. I don't want to stay because it's horrible".
Ms Robinson said she was booked on a flight out of the country on Friday.
Regional leaders have threatened to use military force to oust President Yahya Jammeh after he refused to hand power to President-elect Adama Barrow.
