'Blizzards won't stop us wild swimming'

Most people in Scotland have been battening down the hatches and fighting to keep warm amid freezing conditions.

But snow showers in Shetland have not stopped dedicated wild swimmers Emma Williamson, a nurse, and Catriona Barr, a consultant anaesthetist, who braved the ice cold sea for a dip.

The north of Scotland has seen prolonged and heavy snow falls, closing schools, disrupting travel and seeing temperatures plunge in an Arctic blast.
