Wave energy company Aquamarine wins US grant

The Oyster device is being tested in the sea off Orkney
A US subsidiary of wave energy company Aquamarine Power has secured a grant to explore the potential of Oregon's coastline for electricity generation.
The funding of about £30,000 from Oregon Wave Energy Trust will pay for a feasibility study.
Potentially, Edinburgh-based Aquamarine could deploy its Oyster device off the state's coast.
The technology is being tested in the sea off Orkney and a new version is due to be deployed next summer.
Aquamarine Power is among companies that have leased seabed test sites off Orkney and Pentland Firth from the Crown Estate.
