Water leaks shuts Invergordon Academy's canteen

A school canteen remains out of bounds to pupils after a leak in its roof caused part of the dining hall's ceiling to collapse.

The rest of Invergordon Academy in Easter Ross was open as normal after being closed on Monday when the incident happened.

On Monday, 440 pupils were sent home for health and safety reasons.

Highland Council said water penetration arose as a result of work to replace the roof over the canteen.
