Merging Caithness schools recommended
- Published
Highland Council officers have recommended that councillors should approve plans to amalgamate schools in Caithness.
The local authority has proposed merging Hillhead and North primary schools on the North Primary site.
It has also been suggested South and Pulteneytown primaries be merged on a new campus for three to 18-year-olds at the site of Wick High School.
The officials' advice follows public consultation on the plans.
Councillors will discuss the proposals at a meeting on 10 November.
