Newton Park was the most popular choice in a ballot on names

The names for two new schools being built in Caithness have been announced by Highland Council.

Newton Park Primary School is the name for a campus in Wick where Pulteneytown and South primary schools will be merged.

Noss Primary School, also being constructed in Wick, will replace North and Hillhead primary schools.

Newton Park was the most popular choice in a ballot on names and was announced at a ceremony on the new school site.
