Highland councillors approve Wick schools project

A new school and community complex has been given planning permission by Highland councillors.

Highland Council has proposed constructing a new Wick High School, primary school, swimming pool, fitness suite and library.

Costing an estimated £53m, the project could start before the end of this year and be completed by August 2015.

The council and Scottish government are funding the development.
