Volunteers are to clear away litter from the slopes of Britain's highest mountains on Saturday.

The Real Three Peaks Challenge, now in its fourth year, is to be held on Ben Nevis in Scotland, Snowdon in Wales and England's Scafell Pike.

Last year, a total of 88 people were involved in the clean up of the mountains.

More than 24 stone (153kg) of litter was collected from Ben Nevis, near Fort William.
