The death of a fox at an Aberdeen golf club is being investigated by police.

Officers from Grampian Police were called to Peterculter Golf Club on Friday afternoon following reports of the animal being badly injured.

The force's wildlife officer Dave MacKinnon said the fox had to be put down.

Grampian Police is now investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of the fox, and said inquiries were ongoing.
