Aberdeen City Council pay dispute Acas talks adjourned

  • Published

Talks aimed at finding an end to the dispute over a pay increment for staff at Aberdeen City Council have been adjourned until later in the week.

The local authority called in the conciliation service Acas after union negotiations earlier collapsed.

The row centres on whether staff will receive extra money which was due to be paid to them as part of their contracts.

Tuesday's talks were described as positive and constructive.

The council and the unions will get back round the table on Thursday.
