A man has denied striking a fox with a golf club in Aberdeen.
Donald Forbes, 55, was charged with breaching the Wild Mammals (Protection) Act 1996 by using a golf club to strike the fox to inflict suffering.
The attack allegedly happened at Peterculter Golf Club on 10 September. The fox was later put down.
Mr Forbes, from Peterculter, denied the charge when he appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court and the case was continued until next year.
