Scapa Flow death diver named as man, 53, from Cardiff

A diver who died after an incident at Scapa Flow in Orkney has been named as a man from Wales.

Stuart MacCormac, 53, from Cardiff, was airlifted to Balfour Hospital in Kirkwall on Sunday but was pronounced dead.

He was believed to have been exploring a scuttled German wreck.

A Northern Constabulary spokesperson said a report on the circumstances had been submitted to the procurator fiscal.
