Two boys aged 12 and 13 have been charged after a spate of fires at Aberdeen's derelict Broadford Works.

Crews tackled four separate blazes in the disused former Richards textile mill, off Hutcheon Street, on Thursday alone.

Grampian Police said that after "extensive" enquiries the two youths had been charged with several counts of wilful fire-raising.

They will be reported to the Children's Reporter.

Aberdeen City Council said on Friday it would install CCTV cameras following the fires.
