Aberdeen City Council to set budget for year ahead

  • Published

Aberdeen City Council is to set its budget for the year ahead.

The revenue budget sets out spending plans on staff and services, and the officials recommend maintaining teacher numbers.

It includes plans for a further council tax freeze, and a 1% pay increase for staff.

There is also a warning from officials that £11m should be set aside to deal with unexpected costs such as rising energy prices.

The authority's capital spending plans form a separate report and run to almost £400m of investment over five years.
