Contractors have been clearing debris from the road

The A83 road in Argyll has re-opened almost 24 hours after a landslip closed the carriageway at Butterbridge.

Contractor Bear Scotland said traffic lights would remain in place, and that there would be another short closure on Monday morning for rock removal work.

The landslip near the Rest and Be Thankful, at about midday on Sunday, caused an almost 60-mile detour.

An emergency diversion using the Old Military Road was not possible because of where the slip happened.
