Two of the Cameroon Commonwealth Games team have gone missing from their training camp in Aberdeen.

The wrestlers, aged 26 and 31, were reported missing from their base near Aberdeen Sports Village.

Police Scotland say the pair were last seen at the Hillhead halls of residence on Don Street on Sunday evening.

The Cameroon team of 47 athletes started their pre-games training in Aberdeen last week ahead of Glasgow 2014.

Celtic Park will host the Commonwealth Games opening ceremony on Wednesday 23 July.

Secretly relocated

Seven Cameroonian athletes disappeared while in Britain for the Olympics in August 2012.

Five boxers, a swimmer and a female football player went missing from the athletes' village in London.

The boxers later told the BBC they wanted to stay in the UK to develop their careers and complained about team bonuses and their treatment by officials.

Two of the boxers were later secretly relocated by the Home Office, according to newspaper reports.

Last month, Cameroon's football squad arrived a day late for the World Cup in Brazil after a dispute over bonus payments.
